We are a female-led organisation focused on connecting performers to the best projects in Ireland. With experts in casting, marketing, finance, and talent management, we know the industry inside out and use this knowledge to support our members.

Our team is comprised of people from different backgrounds, each the protagonist of their own story. This helps us to be one step ahead and prepared for whenever our clients have new needs to fulfil while offering emerging talents a helping hand to start their career in an industry that is starting to comprehend that anywhere in this world, diversity is power. Deirdre Ryan

FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Our Executive Director Deirdre Ryan has over 24 years’ experience in Broadcasting, Media and Executive Management. She is methodic and strategic, but also empathetic and understanding. This mix of resourceful skills help her to provide our team with a strong focus on objectives and overall company goals, while creating great and genuine connections with all our clients and members.

Deirdre is an experienced vision mixer, playing an active ‘hands-on’ role in live entertainment, music, and events. It is this in-depth knowledge of the industry, in conjunction with the recruitment and business skills acquired over the past decade, that makes us understand our business needs and opportunities and how to provide excellent service to our clients and crew members.

Her vast expertise in Administration, Radio Operations and Technical Production, complements the skill set of the rest of our team members. With an analytical and factual approach, Deirdre offers creative and challenging propositions to our team while maintaining control over the finances.

Louise Nolan

FOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR

Our Managing Director, Louise Nolan, has been working in the Broadcasting and Media Industry for the past 35 years and has vast experience in TV, Commercial Production, Event Operations, and Production Management. This, combined with the past 15 years’ recruitment expertise, makes her a quite unique person within the industry. She has the ability to ensure an exceptional level of staffing and recruitment services to all our clients, no matter what the role.

Her expert knowledge and connections play a central part in understanding the key areas in media production, and how experienced people can add value in different areas, as well as in forecasting new or evolving trends within the industry.

Louise is a true ‘people person’ and her relaxed mode of interviewing extracts a vast scope of information from our crew professionals, that far exceeds what is written on their CVs. This always gives us a good scope of how each person can adapt to diverse teamworks and projects. She recognises that in order to create a well-rounded team, the human skills are as important as the hard skills.

Bianca Vertiz

HEAD OF CASTING

Bianca originally comes from Mexico City but we feel she has always belonged in Ireland. With vast experience in celebrity management, Bianca has worked with some of the most important directors, producers, and casting agents in the Americas. Back then, she was constantly looking for casting opportunities for top-tier actors and TV hosts in Mexico and the United States.

This, mixed with her strong skills and experience in marketing, PR, and corporate branding made her the ideal person to join our team and help us with our digital presence, internal and external communications, as well as our outbound sales, where she continuously looks for fulfilling and exciting job opportunities for our talentpool.

Bianca is one of those people that takes an idea and turns it into a reality, so with her help we have been able to implement and update many of our internal processes, considerably improving our talent management and customer service standards. She helps us to get things done.

Roisín McArdle

CASTING ASSOCIATE

Our Casting Associate, Roisín McArdle, is the newest member of our team. Having studied Communication at DCU, her big passion for the performing arts, as well as a great ability to identify business opportunities, make her the best fit for our team!

Roisín is always looking for exciting job opportunities for all our Actors and Models and is a strong advocate for all the people that comprise our Talent pool.

Finding someone like her who is thorough, reliable, and versatile, as well as kind and thoughtful sometimes is a bit tricky, so we feel quite lucky for having Roisín on our team!

Rachel Barrett

PRODUCTION MANAGER

Our Production Manager, Rachel Barrett, was introduced to Extras Ireland when she started as an intern in 2018. With a degree in Film and Television Production freshly under her belt, she was eager to learn even more. As Rachel’s internship came to an end we just could not bear to let her go, and so we didn’t!

Rachel has grown with our company, and she is now in charge of sourcing and placing qualified professionals in diverse job vacancies within our industries. She has the ability to connect the best people to the right projects in a timely and seamless manner.

As if all these skills and mastery were not enough, Rachel is also the person we all look for when we need a helping hand when things don’t go as planned. She always has a solution or an innovative idea to solve any kind of problem we might be facing inside and outside the office.
