EXTRAS IRELAND CASTING CALL: Sport Types (Male & Female)

Extras Ireland are looking for both Male and Females aged (18-30) for a variety of roles for some upcoming productions. You should be a sporty type of person, so please let us know what kind of activities you like and enjoy. Shooting dates are early Dec, so please email bookings@extrasireland.com with your full contact details and your most recent photographs.

Anybody is welcome to apply, just make sure your photographs are up to scratch. No selfies, no on-set photographs and no B&W PLEASE!!!

URGENT CASTING CALL: Kissing Extras (Females)

We URGENTLY require two female Extras (can be a couple, friends or single) to feature in a kissing scene shooting this week. It will be a fun sketch on a popular comedy show.

Have to be comfortable kissing each other on camera.

Shoot date is this Wednesday 15th Oct in Dublin.

You can be a couple, but its not necessary so if you are comfortable to kiss a stranger either please let us know.

CASTING CALL: URGENT ! Females required with strong Dublin/ Cork accents

We are looking for females of all ages who can do a strong Dublin and Cork accent for an upcoming production. If this is you or someone you know drop us an email : casting@extrasireland.com with ACCENTS in the subject line.

In the email please send recent photographs of you along with all your costume measurements and contact details. We will be in touch with all our suitable existing EI Members.

ACTORS: Acting For Screen Programme @TheFactory

Some of our Extras, with an interest or background in acting might be interested in this. Its a full time, year long acting training resource dedicated specifically to screen acting. Like the Actors Studio in New York, the Programme entry is audition based with a view to creating the strongest group of actors possible.

Now in it’s third year, previous instructors and guests at The Programme included actors such as Tim Roth, Cillian Murphy, Danny DeVito, Stephen Tobolowsky, Saoirse Ronan, Ciaran Hinds, Richard Dreyfuss, and Stephen Rea and directors Jim Sheridan, Juanita Wilson, John Carney, Kirsten Sheridan, Lance Daly, Shimmy Marcus, Cathy Brady, Rebecca Daly, Ian Power, Damien O’Donnell, Dearbhla Walsh, Steph Green, Tom Hall and many more.

Overseeing the Programme’s unique philosophy, technique, and method is Acting Coach, Voice Coach and Alexander Technique teacher Gerry Grennell whose clients have included Johnny Depp, Bruce Willis, Heath Ledger, Tom Cruise, Natalie Portman, Meryl Streep, Annie Hathaway, Kate Hudson, Ewan McGregor, Maggie Smith, Chris Hemsworth, Abbie Cornish, Oscar Isaac, Orlando Bloom, Marlon Brando, Sean Penn, Debra Winger, Joel Edgerton, Fiona Shaw, Albert Finney, Michael Nyqvist, Michael Gambon, Heather Graham, and Rodrigo Santoro.

Other specialists included casting directors Maureen Hughes, Ros Hubbard, Leo Davis, and Carla Mercer, writer Pat McCabe, cinematographers Cathal Watters and Ruairi O’Brien, and editors Emer Reynolds and Tony Cranston.

Sessions with experienced professionals, alongside regular film screenings, access to shooting and screening facilities, combine to form a comprehensive syllabus of study in all areas of performance for camera and development as a screen actor.

Previous acting experience is welcomed but not essential. An application fee of €30 should be included for applications made before 13th June. Late application deadline (€50) is 25th June. Annual fees amount to €5,500.
