Aislinn has loved telling stories since she was a child. After achieving some of the highest Leaving Cert results in the country, her passion for Film, Television and Theatre brought her to Trinity College Dublin, where she graduated with an Honours Degree in Drama Studies and English Literature in 2008. During her academic studies, she was a core member of Portmarnock Musical and Dramatic Society as a Committee Member, Producer, Director and Actor. She supported herself financially by taking on a part-time position as a Front of House Assistant in the Gaiety Theatre as well as working on Film / TV / Commercial projects as an Extra – landing many Featured Extra roles and gaining valuable insight into life on a professional set. After graduating, Aislinn embarked on a career as a professional Actor / Model and worked up until 2018 in Ireland, the UK, Germany, Denmark, The USA, Canada and South Korea.

In May 2017, Aislinn decided to make the leap from Acting to Casting, an area she had excelled in previously when producing local plays and musicals. She quickly secured a position as a Casting Assistant with Ali Coffey Casting, sourcing Actors for commercials for brands such as Google, Aer Lingus, Aldi, Bank of Ireland, Vodafone and Electric Picnic.
In May 2018, Aislinn was delighted to accept the position of Head of Casting at Extras Ireland. In her three years at the company, Clients and Talent have come to love her professionalism, honesty, kind nature and positive attitude. She feels strongly about cultivating collaborative relationships and will always go out of her way to make sure the right person is found for a project.
A perfect mix of creative and analytical, she strives for high standards, regularly attending training in areas such as Business Development and Marketing. In 2020, she was a participant on the 6-month Breakthrough Innovation Programme with the Dublin Business Innovation Centre, exploring fresh and exciting ways to approach Casting. She is also a member of IFTA.
Alexia’s love of the screen stemmed from watching old MGM films with family as a child. As she got older, she wanted nothing more than to play some part in the creative industry – she eventually spent two years at the Dun Laoghaire Further Education Institute (DFEI), where she completed a Level 5 & 6 in Film & TV Production with Full Distinctions. A true lover of the arts, she has also taken acting classes at the Gaiety School of Acting.
While studying, Alexia was inspired to pursue a career in Film and TV and gained a wealth of experience working as a freelance Runner and Production Assistant with various professional production companies on a diverse range of projects. Alexia joined us in May 2020 and is a fantastic addition to our growing team. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail is vital to how we work. Casting appeals to both her interest and experience in pre-production and she loves the satisfaction of knowing she has helped a project become a reality.
